Greetings from Coracle _ A Quiet Invitation
A warmer table awaits. . .
Thank you for joining us today. We’re grateful you’ve found us.
At Coracle, We believe breakfast is more than a routine it’s a moment to return to yourself
To pause. To notice the morning light _ To feel the warmth of food made with intention.
As spring settles in, our menu shifts too. The air grows cooler. The pace slows. Inside, we lean into comfort
thoughtful food, crafted with care, and served with warmth.
We love winter because we love Kyoto. Its calm, its beauty, its quiet rhythm.
Winter lets us turn inward, cook from the soul. So we’ve shaped this menu into three moods:
Simple, Comfort, and Nostalgic.
Now, imagine,
A slow morning in Japan, stepping into a quiet café, not knowing what to order, you’re craving memory,
the kind that tastes like childhood.
Soft “shokupan” toast with a cube of butter and house jam.
A bowl of “breakfast ramen”, steam rising, rich and familiar.
A coffee, a matcha. Something quiet in your hands. Slow-brewed, with care.
Or : You're greeted by a sunlit day, and the sound of binchotan quietly burning in our kitchen.
Benny is grilling a fillet of fish or chicken, gently seasoned with shio salt. Butter melts. Skin crisps.
Try our OUCHI GOHAN: a Japanese home meal “fragrant rice, warm soup, a few humble sides”
It’s a quiet dance of flavor and memory. It's not flashy, but it stays with you.
Of course, we miss home too.
When our hearts go back to Hong Kong to wok-tossed noise, to the steam of a perfect bowl of noodles .
You've been asking for congee. Not yet but soon. When the wind blows a certain way, we’ll know it’s time.
And then there’s Tuy Hoa, Vietnam, the small town where I grew up. My mom or dad would drop me off
on his motorbike at a lady selling bánh mì. Not fancy. But it made me want to cook, and to share that
feeling with you. So don’t skip the Vietnamese breakfast while you’re here.
Whatever you choose, we hope this time with us feels like a pause in the rush,
A moment just for you.
We’re grateful you’re here. If something moves you, let us know, send us a message, or drop us a line.
Thank you for being part of our journey..
